The Armadillo really is unique with its thick scaly carapace. It covers the whole body, leaving only the pointed nose and eyes exposed. The long nose gives it away: the Armadillo has a keen sense of smell to sniff out insects even when they are buried deep in the ground. It doesn't mind the heat. After all, it is at home in South America and used to hot days.

The mighty Cape Buffalo raises its head and sniffs the air. With its black muzzle, it can sniff out exactly whether strangers are approaching the herd.
